PFSO Course
This course is mandatory for the Security Manager when renewing the Statement of Compliance after 1 January 2014. The course and our instructors are approved by the Norwegian Coastal Administration in accordance with the Regulations for Securing the Port Facility, § 15 Approval of the Security Managers’ Course.
Investigation Methodology Course
The course will provide participants with expertise and give them the tools they can use in an accident investigation. After the course, participants will be able to carry out their own minor investigations or be included in a lagrer investigation team. The aim is that the participants should be able to understand the importance of finding the underlying causes of the accident and use the methodology PTO (Person, Technology, Organization) partctically for this and, finally, learn from the incident and improve their own system.
Crisis Management Course
The course in crisis management is built up with a combination of classroom instruction and a table-top exercise. The course includes basic principles of preparedness, crisis management and methodology including strategic and operational crisis management, media and crisis communications management and humanitarian assistance. The course can be adjusted for the client in accordance with the background need.
Threat Management Course
The course in threat management is built up with a combination of classroom instruction and a table-top exercise. The course includes preparations for good preparedness, de-escalation management and the mentality and mindset to handle a threat situation.
PSO Course
The course is specially directed to existing and upcoming PSOs and others who have a need to know the PSO’s tasks. It is facilitated by an exchange of experiences between the participants. The PSO Course also provides useful lessons on how the implementation of the ISPS Code occurs in an international port.
STCW Course
The course content is in accordance with the STCW Convention’s Rule V, STCW Code’s Section A-V/2 and Table A-V/2, and the Norwegian Maritime Directorate’s approved subject plan version for Passenger and Crisis Management A-V.2 0.0, dated 28.05.2013.
CSO/SSO Course
The course is for persons who are to work as the Company/Ship Security Officer which is defined in Section A/2.1.6 (and Section A /12) in the ISPS Code and Section A -VI/5 of the STCW Code.
E-learning Course
Nordic Crisis Management has developed its own Internet Course for basic ISPS. The course is valid for as long as no major changes occur in the port/port facility which require updated or new training.
